Description[]
Way Out is a prison escape themed map created by reamnit with an approximate track length of 145 studs, and four cliffs. The prison entrance leads to the prison yard with a sharp turn towards the exit of the map. The path continues going straight until it wraps around a boulder with a C-shaped turn. Then another adjacent C-shaped bend is formed to the right until a long straight path is right outside of the map. It takes another corner to avoid a hill until turning again to face the exit and leads to it.
Appearance[]
Way Out appears to be a correctional facility isolated by wilderness and mountains surrounding the facility. To the right of the prison, there is a waterfall that flows downstream. To the left, there is an exit path that leads to the facility, with street lights.
Tactics[]
- There is much cliff space on this map. However, a majority of the usable cliff space is on a mountain side that does not reach the entirety of the map track. It is up to a player's discretion if they choose to use cliff towers.
- Due to the amount of the bends, short range towers, and spawn towers such as Fragger, Enforcer, Barracks, Patrol, Zed, Graveyard and Flamethrower may be effective.
- Phasers should be placed around the U-turns where Aviators used to be during the match to provide the strongest defense against the Void on the final wave.
- Railgunners aren’t as effective on this map due to the lack of cliffs. Instead, use Phasers, and spam them, & place them together in two or three separate groups since there is more land than cliffs on this map.
- Due to the short track-length on this map, be sure to pair DJ alongside the Phasers, and in mid-game, and late-game, even during the final wave on Wave 40; Be sure to spam the Level 5 DJs Rave Ability as much as you can. Make sure DJ is upgraded to Level 5 before the Slimes make their appearance, so DJ can make the enemies dance, giving towers time to attack the enemies.
- If Graveyard is being used, and is upgraded to Level 5 in time, or incredibly fast, then the Graveyards Jacks will spawn together making them almost impenetrable to almost any boss for a minute giving the player enough time to get more defenses alongside the Graveyard.
- When the Void is near the exit in survival, sell more towers beside some Graveyards, and spam more Phasers to deal more damage towards the Void in order to have better odds of triumphing.
- The bend in the middle of the map is extremely good for Aviator.
Trivia[]
- An alarm system can be seen and heard coming from the facility every time a new type of enemy is introduced.
- Multiple people can be seen throughout the map. For example, the creator of the map can be seen near the downstream waterfall.
- This map has more than 5 eastereggs, thus making it quite unique.
- In some spots on the giant cliff near the waterfall, the Player is able to get stuck, and sometimes even noclip through the map if you spam jump.
