Description[]
Speedies debut on wave 3, Speedies are quick enemies with 3 HP. These enemies can also be spawned by the Mystery.
Appearance[]
The Speedy has blue skin with a brown torso and brown legs. Like most fast zombies, it uses a sprinting animation.
Tactics[]
Defensive[]
- As speedies have the lowest health of any zombie in the game, most towers can deal with them easily. However, fast firing towers with low damage per shot (so no damage is wasted) are particularly effective.
- Typical options include Soldiers, Anarchists, or level 1 Enforcers.
- Most early splash towers will kill speedies in one hit, so they are best for dealing with large numbers of speedies.
- Typical options include Flamethrowers, Fraggers, and Mortars.
- Slow firing towers with high damage are less effective at dealing with speedies, as most of their damage will be wasted.
- This is usually not relevant in Survival, as speedies never appear in threatening numbers, though opponents may send lots of speedies in Versus.
- An Anarchist can easily kill them, but are unable to if the Speedy is spam sent.
- The next enemy that spawns by default is the Slow, a much slower but tankier version of the Normal and Speedy that debuts on wave 5.
Offensive[]
- Speedies can't be sent until wave 4, by which time most opponents will be able to defend against them easily.
- Even if it overwhelms the opponent's defense, almost $700 worth of speedies need to reach the end to kill the opponent, and it will only get a technical victory.
- Speedies can be useful for supporting Boss1 rushes. Speedies will overtake the main threat of the rush, forcing the opponent to deal with both the rush and the speedies at the same time.
- This is only effective against opponents using high damage towers, such as upgraded Snipers, Marksmen or Golden Scout. If they do not use these towers sending Boss1 rushes simply becomes more effective.
Trivia[]
- The Speedy was added alongside the game's release.
- Speedy is the third-fastest zombie in the main game, tied with Boss3, with the Lightning and Golden Zombie being faster than them.
- The Speedy costs a total of 6.67 per 1 health to send.
- Speedy has the lowest health, beating Normal by just 1 health.
