Not to be confused with the Super slow.
Description[]
The Slow is the first threat in the game. It has 16 health which is very high for the start of the game, and usually spawns in swarms, but to compensate, it moves at a slow speed. Later on in the game, slows can be spawned by a Mystery.

The Slow has a brown torso and brown legs, similar to that of the Normal and Speedy, but has a dark green-colored head and arms instead. It is the same size as the Normal and Speedy.
Old Version[]
The Slow had a brown torso and legs, similar to the other starting zombies, with grey skin.
Tactics[]
Defense[]
- A level 4 Fragger or a level 2 Aviator are good choices because of their splash damage as it can damage multiple Slows at once and are relatively cost efficient (and can also counter a slow rush).
- Level 1 tubers or mortar can also do the job, albeit slower but requiring less investment.
- A level 3 Patrol can be used to kill them with ease, as the explosion can kill hordes of slows. Do be aware that its spawn time makes it less reliable, especially on smaller maps.
- Slows are a huge step up compared to other zombies, well recommended towers against slows are level 1 Shotgunners or a lvl 2 Enforcer.
- Soldiers are good only when upgraded to a certain point against slows, Not so recommended unless you got the cash.
- The next enemy that spawns by default is the Boss1 that debuts on wave 8 and is extremely tanky but as slow/slower than the Slow already is.
Offense[]
- Slows are usually best sent at early Waves, as defenses are not very developed at that point.
- A player with Farms can easily bring extra defenses in and counter rushes.
- If a player has splash damage towers or fast-firing towers, the extra Slows will be annihilated.
- Even if you do send slows, you should send a lot, as 1-2 slows will get killed easily by defenses.
- The Slow is ineffective alone as it is typically too slow to actually reach the end before it defenses kill it. However, sending these zombies can act like guards for more lethal zombies like the Boss1.
- It isn't recommended to send Slows as they are very unlikely to ever reach the end, nor will it force out a lot of defense from your opponent.
