The Mystery is a summoning zombie encountered on Versus and Survival mode. They are spawned at Wave 13 and can also be sent offensively in Versus mode for $100 each starting from Wave 16.

Overview

The Mystery has an average movement speed and a sending interval of 1 second on Versus mode. Upon death, the Mystery spawn a new zombie in its place. Generally, using crowd-control and splash damaging towers such as the Plasma Trooper and Fragger can be viable for clearing groups of Mysteries and weakening the zombies they spawn.

A group of Mysteries may or may not pose a high risk depending on the frequency of Boss1s spawned. Due to their costly price of $100 each, the effectiveness of sending Mysteries in Versus mode will heavily depend on the zombie it spawns to recompensate for their value. Mystery outcomes will be the same for both teams on Versus mode. All zombies spawned by the Mystery will not give cash when damaged.

Appearance

The Mystery has translucent blue skin and a darker blue apparel with a black question mark on its torso.

Abilities

Break

Upon death, the Mystery will shatter and spawn either a Normal, Speedy, Slow, Boss1, or Hidden in its place.

Bugs

• The Mystery will not spawn additional enemies upon death while frozen or dancing.
