Midnight Road is a very long night-themed map made by StephTilo, Eraptyy, eaoelie and el_nam.

Appearance

Midnight Road is a large map that has a highway theme to it. An entire road traverses the map and a bridge built above the road can have cars passing by frequently. A grove of trees surrounds the road and can be seen on both sides of the map.

Tactics

• The amount of turns on this map can occasionally make it better than Borderlands, for certain loadouts.
• Cliff towers are best placed in the middle of the map, on the raised hill between two roads. This gives the most coverage of the map and is most effective.
  • Though, Railgunners can be placed on the front cliff of the map if there is an Aviator that has been at least upgraded to level 3. This in turn will allow Railgunners to target camouflagued enemies.
• There are around 5 cliffs in the middle, the sixth and seventh on the left, and the last 5 on the top right. However, all cliffs are spaced far away from each-other, so spamming/using Cliff towers is not always recommended, especially if you're using boost towers such as Commander and DJ.
• Aviators or other ground towers can be placed around the S and C-bends for extra ground coverage.

Trivia

• Midnight Road is the one of two non event maps to be night themed, the other is Intimidator.
• It is the second-longest map in the game, the longest being Borderlands.
• There is an overpass that little cars drive on, the cars are similar to the old patrol models, and in random colors. The cars can occasionally honk.
• The cars that appear on this map will have a certain rarity and will not just appear randomly. Here are the unique vehicles that would rarely appear.
  • Planet3arth Patrol - A bright red patrol with red headlights, with Planet3arth's iconic face while Planet3arth himself drives the vehicle.
  • Man Car - A driver pretends to be a patrol, with tires attached to its arms and legs.
  • Tank - A tank the same as a Level 5 Patrol with headlights on.
  • Thanos Car - A really rare easter egg. It's a bright purple patrol with Thanos, while wielding the Infinity Gauntlet, driving the vehicle.
• One of the map creators, el_nam can be found stuck in a tree.
• There is an easter egg behind one of the big hills, which contains a lot of people at a campfire, these people include: Eraptyy, kestutis99, Scrufus, NoLandsLie, Lazily_Mung, Zefeated, OsterDog, and eaoelie.
• A Wooden shack with a sign reading "Planet3arth's Update shack" can be seen hidden in the trees, positioning your camera correctly behind the shack and clicking the Click Detector on it, spawns a Planet3arth Patrol.
