Tactics[]
- The Marksman is alright for eliminating small groups of Normals and Speedys, however its slow fire rate prevents it from being as effective against larger swarms compared to towers like Mercenary and Aviator. The Markman's true strength lies in taking out tanky bosses.
- When supported by crowd control towers such as Shotgunner, the Level 3 Marksman is extremely proficient at dealing with Boss1s.
- Level 4 Marksman should not be spammed or used before Wave 17 due to its poor cost effectiveness.
- Much like the Golden Scout, a few Level 5 Marksman are able to counter large hordes of Lavas, as well as Boss2s and Hidden Bosses sent by the opponent in Versus mode.
- 8 Level 5 Marksman supported by a Max DJ and Commander can counter a Boss3 rush, while 20+ Max Marksman supported by DJ and Commander can counter a Boss4 rush.
Trivia[]
- Level 4's icon comes from the flash game Sniper Assassin 3
- The level 3 upgrade claims to double its damage, but it deals 10 damage instead of 8.
- The name for the Level 5 upgrade used to be "Cyber Contract Killer."
- Veteran Marksman wields an M1903 Springfield, an American bolt-action rifle used during WW1 and WW2.
- Level 4 and 5, however, wield the Hunting Rifle and Varmint Rifle from the Fallout franchise respectively.
