Description[]
Hidden Boss is a Camouflaged Enemy with 800 health and an average speed that first appears at Wave 22 and can be sent by Wave 23. It has half the health of a Boss2. It can also be optionally referred to as "HB" or "BossH" if you so wish.
Appearance[]
The Hidden Boss has a mostly ebony body alongside with having a translucent head and arms, a black headband, black armbands, and a black cape. The animation also shows as if it is pulling a cape over the front of its body.

Defense[]
- Crowd control towers (Mortar, Tuber, Plasma Trooper, Aviator) at their highest levels have the capability to clear these zombies. Four at level 4 will deal with the first, and with them at level 5 will make it much easier for the player to deal with hordes.
- One level 5 Marksman will shred the first Hidden boss, and in groups will kill hordes.
- Level 4 to 5 Barracks is not recommended due to the fast speed barracks can easily get trampled. additionally the problem becomes worse if something tanks for the Hidden boss.
- The Aviator and Golden Scout is useful for sharing their Camouflage Detection to towers such as the Railgunner or Flamethrower.
- Flamethrower can be helpful in slowing down Hidden Bosses if it can detect them.
- This is also applicable to Level 3-5 Cryo-Gunners as they can stun Hidden Bosses and their freeze can stack with Flamethrower's afterburn.

- The Airstrike Ability on the Commander can cripple this zombie, especially on later waves, where they spawn in massive numbers.
- Phasers are not recommended due to its slow firerate and there being more important zombies to target, though they can handle a few.
- Golden Commandos can rip through hordes of these.
- 1-2 level 4 Golden Commandos can take out a rush of 8+ Hidden Bosses.
- It is even more effective when paired with Commander's Call to Arms ability and Airstrike.
Offense[]
- The Hidden Boss costs $800 to send and is a very effective rush. Sending this boss after a boss 2 rush, stacked or not almost always forces something. The only times where you would restrain from sending is over defending with towers like max golden scout or lvl 4 plasma trooper.
- Hidden Boss is highly recommended if the opponent is relying on lower level Zeds as their main defense. As zeds can only use "instant" ram damage to counter. Due to the relatively cheap price hidden bosses come at for the wave its unlocked. You can sustain sending these for long periods of times overwhelming towers that rely on range or "instant" damage.
- It can be highly effective against single-targeting towers when sent in high groups, especially if the opponent is relying on Phasers for higher health enemies.
Trivia[]
- The Hidden Boss is the third weakest boss in the game in terms of base health, second being the Necromancer and the first being the Boss1.
- Currently, this has the second highest health of the Camouflaged Enemies throughout all game modes, only surpassed by the Wraith.
