Expired Jack is a rare boss appearing in Wave 0000000. It is a very slow zombie with 60000 health that is able to stun towers by throwing flaming pumpkins at them.
Appearance[]
Expired Jack is a large pumpkin figure with dark attire. It is wielding a double edged axe with a skull holding it together. Noticeably, its pumpkin head and arms are showing decay. It is much darker in color than its predecessors.
Tactics[]
- Using high-damage towers such as level 5 Golden Commando or multiple level 5 Zeds can deal massive damage to Expired Jacks and the zombies that will be protecting it. In addition, level 5 Phasers are also effective at dealing with Expired Jacks as multiple Phasers have the largest single target DPS for its cost efficiency.
- Flamethrowers and Hallowboomers can slow the Expired Jacks down by 40%.
Trivia[]
- Expired Jack, like the Void, can become stuck at the entrance of Dead End Valley.
- Expired Jack is the first non-final boss zombie to have attacks, the second being the Titan and the third being the Guardian.
- Using the Maxed DJ Ability, Apocalypse Rave, while Expired Jack is in range will make it unable to move permanently.
- Expired Jack's has the same entrance music as Jack.
- In Midnight Road, Expired Jack can become stuck on the road.
- Expired Jack's name is a pun on food getting expired over time, as its unexpired form, Jack and King Jack, have pumpkins as heads.
- When one of the Expired Jack's spawn, it would play Bombs for Throwing at You.
Glitches[]
- If Expired Jack is killed during or as their pumpkin animation starts, their death animation will not start until the aforementioned is finished.
- Exploiting the DJ’s maxed ability “Apocalypse Rave” can make the Expired Jack dance and glitch the Expired Jack making it unable to move.
Patched Glitches[]
- The Expired Jack may not load in his walking animation and song entrance and instead move forwards throughout the track while stuttering. This is most vulnerable with older PCs. This was patched after the 8/10/19 Update which introduced a lag overhaul.
