The Death Knight, similar to the Haunted Knight is a swift event enemy that spawns in hordes in the Winter 2022 Event, first making its debut on Wave 11. This enemy is a bit stronger than its previous counterpart since it wields an extra 100 HP which is tougher than its counterpart. This makes the Death Knight stronger than its ascendant known as The Haunted Knight, beware.

Appearance

The Death Knight is the tenth enemy that appears in the Winter 2022 event. Similarly to the Haunted Knight, the Death Knight appears to be a pinkish, & purplish magenta colored humanoid possessing a black gladiator armor set holding a sword. Just like its Halloween counterpart known as the Haunted Knight from Halloween 2020, it also runs while shaking its sword menacingly with one hand .

Strategy

• Treat this like the Haunted Knight from Halloween 2020, use similar tactics.
• Use Level 4 Railgunners to kill these enemies.
  • Commanders can boost the firerate of the Railgunners.
• Max Commandos are a good choice for taking down hordes of Death Knights.
  • Hallowboomers can be used to slowly chip away HP from Death Knights whilst slowing them down at the same time. This also applies with Flamethrower as it can do the same.
    • A good counter to this enemy is to use Tubers to chip down HP, allowing towers to kill it quickly.
    • Phasers also work as a good counter for Death Knights, although it’s not highly recommended.
  • The Graveyard is capable of summoning Graveyard Jacks, which are capable of tanking, and attacking the Death Knights, other Graveyard units should be used as backup for the Graveyard Jack due to their lower HP.

Trivia

• This is similar to the Haunted Knight, having similar speed and health, with a ghostly look, even having the same sounds as it.
• The skin for Commando, Death Knight, is a direct reference to this enemy. It also has Titan, and Frosty’s helmet
• Unlike the Haunted Knight, this enemy wields 100 more extra HP than its previous counterpart.
• The Death Knights are likely revived Haunted Knights since a quote appears when the Death Knights debut, saying “Are those the Hallow Knights from last Halloween?” This could be backed up as there is a theory saying Revenant is a Frosty, and SantaBot revived and put into one body. The name/word Revenant also means something that is brought back from the Dead.
• On the wave they first spawn, Harder (B) will play, technically making it Death Knight's theme.
