Dead End Valley is a very short map in Tower Battles made by Planet3arth. It has an entirely straight road, making it the most difficult map to triumph in the game.
Appearance[]
Dead End Valley takes the appearance of a badlands with only a single road that shows signs of life nearby. A giant crater in the middle is held up by bridge supports. The solitary atmosphere is reinforced when you read the nearby signs that indicate that the nearest city is 50 miles away.
Tactics[]
- A recommendation is to always bring a tower suitable for early game such as Fragger or Elf. This ensures that you can defend against an early game rush and lose less health overall early game.
- It is advised to bring towers that can stall zombies such as Cryo-Gunner and Flamethrower.
- Putting spawn towers like Zed, Patrol and Barracks can be effective. However, they are not recommended as spawned units will likely disappear or die shortly after spawning.
- This applies more to Barracks due to how much more difficult it is for them to stack.
- It is advised to bring Golden Commando or Zed in order to deal massive DPS (damage per second) to kill zombies quickly as the track is extremely short, allowing zombies to enter the base quickly.
- Cliff towers are not advised unless playing with a large team (i.e. 4v4 or Quad Op), as there is limited cliff space and tower slots could be used more effectively with other towers.
- Always have farming as a priority to make sure you can get effective defenses as soon as possible.
- Towers that are closest to the road are going to have better overall range due to the track being linear.
- This map has been removed from versus mode.
Trivia[]
- When selecting the map on the Survival Tracker, there used to be a red text stating “NOT CONFIRMED POSSIBLE” due to its short length.
- Some players have triumphed this map in solo survival or 1v1 before on the July 22nd Update. Game updates made it practically improbable for players to triumph this map. However, Megalodon016 triumphed the map on October 12th, after the patches.
- Dead End Valley is the shortest map in the game, beating both Grasslands and Mars, who are second and third respectively.
- The hole in the middle of the map also has a car crashed into the ground and wooden graves next to it, alluding to the fact that something tragic took place.
- It was possible to beat the map in solo survival sometime after the first Golden Commando rebalance during the July 22nd update.
- There is an "Overlord of the Valley" role on the official Tower Battles Community discord server for people who conquered Dead End Valley solo survival after the Golden Commando, Mercenary and Commander nerfs.
- This is the only map created by Planet3arth.
Glitches[]
- None currently.
Patched Glitches[]
- During an older version of the game, Void would get stuck at the front gate of the map and not be able to proceed. This was patched as of August 10th, 2019.
- It was possible to stop the Void from moving by having spawner towers such as Zed collide into the Void.
Update History[]
NOTE: ALL DATES ARE IN U.S DATING FORMAT (MM/DD/YY)
