Not to be confused with Shards the event currency from the Winter 2022 event.
The Shard is the Winter 2019 equivalent of the Speedy. It is one of the first zombies seen in the Winter event, with relatively low health and a fast speed, making it able to breeze past a poor defense.
Appearance[]
The Shard is small with a plain icy appearance. It has a white head and arms, a blue torso, and blue legs.
Tactics[]
- Many Commandos are effective, as they are able to quickly deal with hordes of Shards.
- Flamethrowers and Hallowboomers are effective as they can slow down the Shard by 50%.
- Aviators and Tubers can clear these groups in bunches.
- Mercenaries can somewhat clear it but it is not very effective.
- Shards are not affected by Sleeters or Cryo-Gunner, just like the Ice, meaning ice-based towers are very ineffective at fighting them.

- (2/10/19) The Shard was added on as a part of the Winter 2019 Event.
- (3/31/19) Shard removed along with the Winter Event, marking the conclusion of the Winter 2019 Event.
